Welcome to DevTool! This Privacy Policy explains how DevTool collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the DevTool App. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

By using DevTool, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

When you sign in using Google Login powered by Firebase Authentication, we collect:

  • Email Address: Your email address associated with your Google account.
  • Profile Photo URL: The URL to your Google profile picture (if available).
  • User ID: A unique identifier generated by Firebase for your account.

1.2 App-Specific Data

We collect and store the following data within the App:

  • Coins: Virtual currency earned or purchased within DevTool, stored in our Firebase Database to track your in-app balance.

1.3 Payment Information

DevTool integrates Razorpay for in-app purchases buy coins. We do not directly collect or store your payment details (such as credit card numbers or bank account information). Razorpay processes all payment transactions, and you should refer to Razorpay’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

1.4 Device and Usage Information

We collect limited technical data through the App’s permissions:

  • Internet Access: To enable Google Login, Firebase Database syncing, and Razorpay payments.
  • Network and Wi-Fi State: To ensure connectivity for app features.
  • AD_ID Permission: Included in the manifest for potential future use but not currently utilized as DevTool contains no ads.

We do not collect additional device information (e.g., IP address, device ID) beyond what is necessary for the App’s functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Authentication: To verify your identity and provide access to DevTool via Google Login.
  • Account Management: To personalize your experience by displaying your name and profile photo (if provided) and associating your User ID with your account.
  • In-App Features: To manage your coin balance, process purchases via Razorpay, and sync data with Firebase Database.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and enhance App functionality (e.g., fixing bugs or optimizing performance).
  • Communication: To send you transactional emails (e.g., purchase receipts) or important updates about DevTool.

We do not use your data for advertising purposes, as DevTool is ad-free.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

3.1 Data Storage

  • Your personal information (name, email, profile photo URL, User ID) and app-specific data (coins) are stored securely in Google’s Firebase Database.

3.2 Data Retention

  • We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide App services.
  • If you delete your DevTool account, we will remove your personal information from our Firebase Database within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

3.3 Security Measures

  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
  • However, no online service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only in the following cases:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party providers like Google (Firebase) and Razorpay to enable authentication, database storage, and payment processing. These providers have their own privacy policies:
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process (e.g., court order), we may disclose your information to authorities.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to a successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.

  • Razorpay: For payment processing. Razorpay collects payment-related data directly from you during transactions.

To delete your account:

  1. Sign in to DevTool.
  2. If you want to delete your data you can use account delete form.
  3. We will remove your data from Firebase within 30 days.

7. App Permissions

DevTool requests the following Android permissions:

  • INTERNET: To connect to Firebase and Razorpay services.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To check network availability for online features.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: To optimize connectivity during data syncing.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID: Included for compatibility with Google Play Services but not actively used, as DevTool is ad-free.

These permissions are necessary for the App’s core functionality.

8. Children’s Privacy

DevTool is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we learn that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us with personal information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored in Firebase servers, which may be located outside your country (e.g., in the United States). Firebase complies with international data protection standards, but laws in these regions may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant updates via email or an in-app notice.
